Complaint Filed

I commented about this in another thread, but it really deserves one of its own. I make no shame about filing complaints over XBL when people actually break the rules. They give me this feature to report cheaters and then that's the extent of my power. It's all up to Microsoft as to how much they want to investigate/enforce these complaints, but I'll do my part of this deal. Primary reasons for filing complaints include:

* Sexual/profane club tags, filed under Profile > Player Content. After all, it is exclusive to MNC and has nothing to do with the XBL system. Getting around profanity filters with non-letter characters will be reported as will any phallic club tags.
* Profane voice chat: Just because it is commonplace does not make it any less of a violation. Break the rules, you'll be reported.
* Air Strike spawnkilling: As soon as I learned this was an illegal maneuver and Uber explicitly labelled it an "exploit," that put it under Tampering > Cheating. However, this is the only thing I know which could be considered cheating. Many things seem counter-intuitive in this game (one person I reported for this spawnkilling accused me of cheating by moving to the Spunky backdoor), but are either intentional or simply not game-breaking.

** As far as blanking out your gamertag via the club tag glitch, I sincerely hope this will be patched out, but it does not affect the game strongly enough for me to consider it cheating. The most it does is reduce visibility due to seeing a player's name. I certainly do not endorse it though, and I avoid anyone who does it for "unsportsmanlike conduct."
** People on my friends list are excluded from my reports. It's clearly a conflict of interest for me to do so. I really want to report one of them, but he's an extremely skillful player I want to keep on my side.

lol at reporting people in voice chat. If it's bugging you that much, mute them. It's not worth trying to get the person in trouble because of their language.

Accessory to cheating? What would David Sirlin think? Tsk Tsk.

^^^ if everyone mutes the person and they continue to do it (Ie leaving their mic on near a speaker etc, then they deserve to be reported.)

And you justify this.....how? You don't like cheaters, unless they benefit personally? Ethical much?

in all seriousness i've probably had at least 300+ people telling me they're filing complaints and there going to get there friends to file complaints and they're going to get me banned. years later i still get people saying i have illegal haxx in cod4...little kids don't learn and they're going to file a complaint to make themselves feel better because someone is better than them at a video game

trust me, you have no power. you can look at the xbox live suspension forum and its nothing but system tampering and lewd gamertags. you will never see anybody banned for exploiting game glitches.

I refuse to play a game that disallows phallic club tags.
