I just checked the rules and guidlines... Does not look like this is against the law to post or anything...
I hate to make an account just to ask a question but I was planning on making an account for this thread anyway. Move this if its in the wrong place. I put it here because I figured it would be light-years faster than a support ticket or something...
So I looked at the minimum system specs... My OS is okay (windows 8) and I have 4 gigs of ram (3.48 usuable) and enough hard drive space.
But I looked at the processor and I beilieve it is 2 gigahertz and my comp only has 1.40 gigahertz...
I don't even think I can install a new processor into my computer... I mean it would be possible but I don't know how easy it would be on a laptop...
A DESKTOP on the other hand I just unscrew the case. Too bad the only computer I have (personally) is a pretty good laptop.
If you want to see all my specs I took a picture of the screen.

Thanks for the help... I really hope i can run it and I do NOT want to waste 59.99 on this.

lol, no this thread just so happens to be in the legit (almost) through and through, crazy I know! :p
sorry I admit I partake in telling people when they're in the wrong place or haven't searched, but your's is not too problematic, (though next time post in beta ^^').

but (as has been mentioned on multiple-a-thread :p ...) the specs aren't dead set, but the absolute lowest PA will accept is:

    Vista 32bit
    4 Gigabytes of RAM
    intel HD 2000
2.4Ghz Dual core processor without hyperthreading

1.4 could the" base clock" on your cpu. "base clock" is a concept for newer intel cpus that also feature turbo. meaning the 2 gigahertz may have been the "actual frequency".

    unless you
Upload a Dxdiag.txt to your next reply so I can help you further.
    to do this hit ÿ
    then "dxdiag",
let the program run, allow the progress bar to finish
    hit "Save All Information..."
upload it as a .txt attachment. DON'T paste it

I won't be able to tell you what you really have.
on this matter.... the devkit program costs 59.99 but the finished product is 40 (may even go lower after release). but currently there is no "game" (yet) and I would urge you to only buy once said game is out.

no need to buy the devkit if you're not going to beta test -> if you just wanna play and have a fun time.

I have Windows 8 so XP is not a problem...
    My DxDiag: mediafire(dot)com/?eiw505k5wnil9ve
But the $40 one isn't out yet right?
    No big deal.
Oh yeah... About the new Intel CPU thing... Would you consider 2011 "new"?

    :/

okay I'm not sure here, you have an amd APU (something that works as both a CPU and a GPU, generally used for netbooks, not lap tops)

dunno if that runs PA. even though graphically it's ok I'm inclined to say no because of the low clock

That is why I said it is not out yet... Well I guess I kind of put it in question form.
Anyways... This is definetly not a netbook... It is a pretty big laptop and ran me back $600 when I got it 2 years ago... I guess maybe this was an exception.
    Daww...
So basically what your saying is that my computer would not be able to handle it and it would crash...?
Or would it just be really slow?
Because if that is the case I will be rather... dissapointed as I love TA and SupCom.

Your computer can run this game without crash on start.
Obviously if you buy it's now you'll have same stability problems like everyone on this forum.

It's depends on what "slow" mean for you. I'm running this game on Intel HD3000 which is twice slower than your integrated GPU. I'm have about 10-25FPS at start and 7-12FPS in late game while game is still playable.
With your APU you should get better performance, and it's will be higher while devs implement more optimizations.

So I'm sure you'll able to play with some limitations especially because you only have 4GB of RAM.

I think tatsujb want to say that any laptop it's really bad idea for any games. It's will always 2-3 times slower than desktop you can buy for same money.

So obviously you won't able to play PA with same settings as desktop players with proper $160+ video card and 8-12GB RAM, but it's doesn't mean you can't run game and have fun with it.

Yeah ok thanks! I don't care about eye-candy that much. If I can run it I'm good! I mean games like Civ V and Supreme Commander (SO LAGGY!) I still have tons of fun with even though I get great lag about a 30-60 minutes into it (more like 2 hours for civ v)
As long as I can run it, this topic is solved.
    Thanks!
