I did a search and could not find the answer so... Setup was just me vs the PC. I'm just getting setup and going and the enemy commander blows up. So why did this happen? I was not attacking him or anything. Just heard the nuclear rumble and looked where his base was. He's dead Jim! Never mind.... Other player was AI 1 so that was the computer right?
no you wer vs another person. you probably didn't see him hop in and ready up just before the game launched. I don't think AI's are programed to self destruct in any case senarios so far.
