It would be cool if someone can create a mod that will allow you to chose any color, light ness or darkness for your commander such as base and stripe color with the options similar to the screenshot... I would make it my self but I have no idea where to start or what to do... sinhosie
It sounds good at first glance but then it could create problems of readability if the different players have similar colors. (But maybe not, i don't know) I would rather want a random color choice.

I am making, Green Atmosphered alien planet template, and a purple one too, also im working on adding a slider to the planet editor UI to change atmosphere color's hue. https://forums.uberent.com/threads/alien-and-utopian-colored-biomes.52147/ Its still a Work In Progress mod due to last few game updates (system editor is now different).
Also im working on a mod to color shift PAPA texture diffusion colors too for biomes and planets. This should allow players to change land colors just like changing a units team color.
