I know lots of people want to be able to play with friends. An easy way to do this may be to add a feature into the lobby that allows players with the same club tags to be grouped together (when possible). That way everyone knows who is friends with who and who is working together (closely) and people with friends can actually play with them consistently. I know a work around exists for this, but it's not reliable and may be temporary.
This is terrible, this idea Team stacking in pubs is BAD I know in some cases it's just you and your friends who aren't necessarily good, but doing this would also cause groups of good, coordinated players to be grouped up against average (by definition) groups of uncoordinated players. Playing with your team should be kept in pre-arranged scrims or matches against other teams. Putting teams together in random pub games just ruins it for everyone else (and for the team if they give a damn about having a challenge)
I played against a stacked team. I figured they were friends because of how coordinated they were, and how bad we got roflstomped. I didn't care. I didn't whine about it. What's wrong with wanting to play with friends? I want to play with my friends, regardless of their skill. We change teams to play with eachother, we usually go to the team less stacked but that's not always the case. Until they remove change team I'm still going to keep playing with my friends. I don't care if you get butt hurt over it.
So when I co-opt someone's tag I'll be put on their team? That would be cool cause if there were more than 6 with the tags it would possibly kick someone off their team and give thier spot to me!
Especially seeing how you can change them between games. I could ensure I went onto someone's team all the time and just grief him or something.
Glad to hear you are looking into it. I realize this way definitely has flaws, and griefers can grief perfectly well without this system, but it just sound really easy to implement if other methods might be more difficult.
I agree it would be cool if there was a way to know that people are teamed up. I know the tag is supposed to fill this roll but I don't see most people on teams matching their tags.
Some team organization methods are required, I simply wouldn't consider this a complete game without it. Otherwise how could you organize a 6v6 scrim? Give players all the power they want to group together and allow servers to toggle an option for full random teams.
