MNC got a class limit option. This could prevent some old problem from Team Fortress 2. Most server will limit Assassin and Sniper in 2. But it still sucks while there are 2 Sniper and 2 Assassin in team. No matter they are playing well or not. The firepower they can provide to team is still too weak... But there do have some strategy and the workroom left for multi Assassin/Sniper. So I think there could be add one more limit option to limit the amount of Assassin and Sniper. Like set the number to 2 then there could only 1 Assassin and 1 Sniper or 2 Assassin or 2 Sniper in team at the same time.
Already has class limits, severs need to implement it. Ive seen severs with a 2 per class limit, highlander, and oddballs that have no Gunner :cry: You can see the class limits for servers in the multiplayer browser on the lower right side.
I think what he's trying to say is; instead of having a per-class limit, have a cumulative limit. So that, say, one of three things happen; 2x Assassin, 2x Sniper, or 1x Assassin + 1x Sniper. I think it's a silly idea, IMO. How would you decide which classes are paired together? Tank + Assassin works exceedingly well, so does basically every matchup I can think of. No, the problem won't be solved by adding clever class restrictions - it'll be solved by fixing the lack of skill in the community. Don't play on restricted servers; I don't and I absolutely love it when there's five Assassins lining themselves up for my Tank Charge.
Twas refreshing actually. I just recently stumbled on a class limit server with a highlander setting. Even though I didn't get to play support I was forced to try out classes I don't play that much :3
Our first server (*Raw Messiah* #01 24/7 Crossfire) has 2 pros per class limit. (and 15 min round, 2 mins OT) The second one will probably be highlander type, with 1 pro per class limit. If the Raw Messiah's community gives a green light for that setup.
