Me and my friends all bought PA a few days ago for a LAN party. We were pretty disappointed to find out that you can't choose where the AI will start, and after a couple of rounds we got frustrated and quit.

We wanted a game where we all start on one planet and the AI all start on another. Is this a feature that will be coming down the road or would we be better off utilising the Steam refund feature?

It would be a nice addition for the lobby, together with additional gamemodes or locking certain units! But as far as I know this is not planned yet, it might be on the 'to do list' though, but only @jables can answer this.

But is this small lack of lobby options really a reason to refund the game? You can simply just say which planet you are going to pick and all your friends start on the same planet, but for now the AI will keep picking the planets at random.

I think that this is a bit weird of a request, but @mkrater would you be able to find out if it's planned or something simple enough to do?

Just keep in mind that in most RTS games you can't set the AI spawn easily if at all, and if the AI is on your planet and you want to turtle, get up and move. However, the AI can be quite aggressive by design.

Also note that PA was never intended to cater to building large defensive bases; it was built for WAR! :p
