I wish for a larger chat window . And more time to chat. You only get one line to type in, this is never enough to say what i want to say. And the time in-between matches is so short. I can barely get two lines out! Allow multiple line Chat, and maybe ad another 10 seconds to the team picking page to allow for some friendly banter between players. The Star system of "Skill Rating" is not very good at all. Level 90+ players are only 3-4 stars, and I get demoted because the other team is unbalanced and my kill death ratio is all out of wack for one match. This leads to my Star level being inaccurate, and the cycle continues. The original leveling system was fine. Stars are useless and inaccurate.
Oh god that annoys me so much. How am I to banter with people when I can't even put out a full sentence and the game interrupts me mid type by opening the locker room mid lobby?
- Your level has nothing to do with your player skills - How do you know that the other team is unbalanced? - If you matter about your k/d ratio, you play MNC as a fps -> so you failed hard - And who the hell cares about your demotivation? Dude, it's a game ...
Be this as it may, as a general rule a player who puts in 4 hours a day , to achive level 90+ is a much better player than say. ME who plays only half - one hour per day on average. How do i know? Score board, if we're yet to get a kill and they're on 10-20 kills, 0 Deaths. and we're being spawn cammped. I'd sat the other team is superior. I like to keep an eye on these things. If your not on a good ratio, your probably not contributing to the team all that much. I do, its demoralizing. I'll say no more.
The star system is supposed to provide a positive feedback look to the player, a reward for playing well. But as it stands, i've been progressively bumped down to 3 stars despite MVPing on the winning team with a solid K/D, lots of bot kills and plenty of moneyball damage. Level was a better indication of experience. The star system does not show your player skills either as it stands, it's worthless trash. As for the other team being poorly balanced, you familiar with the term "stomp"? If your team gets stomped, it's fairly clear something isn't working. K/D Is important and your attempted insults are counterproductive (much like the star rating system). It's not AS important as pure deathmatch games, but given each death gives the enemy money (and potentially a streak bonus) as well as removing one of your players from the field, having a decent ratio is NEVER a bad thing. As for the "it's a game" thing... players need a reason to play. It's scientifically proven that watching numbers steadily rise will keep most people playing games for longer than if that mechanic didn't exist (MMO's for example, thrive on this). Watching a star rating go from 4 stars to 3 when you win a match with what you thought was a solid performance is the kind of negative feedback that discourages players.
