Cant select spawn point

when i start a match, be it with AI or with players, i cant spawn on the planet. Not only cant i spawn on the planet i dont even get any options to spawn, once ive loaded in im just left staring at the planet with no numbered points to choose from. After about 5 mins of staring blankly at the starting planet my commander will randomly spawn onto the planet by itself.
I thought this may have been a problem across the board but i havent seen any posts on it and a friend i tested this with and he didnt have the problem.
Is there anyway to fix this?

Please tell me you have all mods turned off.

I just had this and it was because i forgot to turn off cinematic mode. Try to do this.

Make sure you update your graphics drivers. Some people have had trouble seeing the spawn areas with outdated graphics drivers.

@neutrino I really want to thank you for being so good at supporting mods even though you knew they would cause problems every update. It really lets us make ui suggestions and help visualize what we want.

i dont have any mods. i didnt have cinematic mode on.

I haven't verified for this new build, but in the last build if you hit shift+enter (to team chat) before you selected a spawn point and clicked the button you weren't able to click the button at all.

just did some more testing and it definitely seems to be a bug. The only way that i can get spawn points to work is if i set up a lobby with player vs AI on a random system (click new system so it randomly generates a new system). If i do this i can get spawn points to work 100% of the time. Ive tried every combination of set ups and this is the only one that works.

Ive tried Player vs AI with a system ive made = No spawn points.

Ive tried a friend setting up a 1 vs 1 with a random system = No spawn points.

Ive tried a friend setting up a 1 vs 1 with a system hes set up = No spawn points.

The only time i can get it to work is when its me vs. AI with a random system.

Turn off "cinematic mode" works for me. Thanks !

After the update that just went out, i now dont have any spawn point any of the time... i have no way to spawn in, i just have to wait for my commander to spawn randomly on the planet

Re-Installed PA and still nothing, dont have any spawn points

Has anyone else had this problem and has any tips on how to fix this because ive tried everything i can think of and it just seems to be broken for me...

Interesting - I had the same issue, turned off cinematic mode and indeed there are now spawn points - but not one metal point on any of the planets including my spawn planet (it was an autogenerated system)

Note: Getting the spawn points only tested on 1vs1 vs AI - not sure about joining other games, last night it was getting stuck on 'generating planets'

i wish it would fix that easy for me :/

my only hope is that the next update, which i think i heard was tomorrow, will fix it...

Something similar happened few times in my games as well. Players (1-2 at a time) did not get commander (did not even see green starting circle) and instead of their nickname player list was displaying "Army: ANNIHILATED" (Army instead of real nickname)
