Cant play since patching on 12/22

After patching this morning, and looking at the patch notes going 'yay' i fired the game up
and got a black screen, i hear the music in the background and when i move my mouse i
can hear it going over the menu items, even clicked the second item in the menu to see if
it would change anything, and no dice, still a black screen with sounds.

The game was working fine yesterday, and i double checked my drivers for the video card
(GeForce gtx275) and their up to date. Also ran a couple other UT games from Steam
(killing floor/Borderlands), so i can only assume it was from the update.

any ideas?

Even after manually installing the support files, verifying the cache and re-installing,
I'm still not getting any video. Guess i'll cross my fingers and hope whatever it is
gets fixed in the next patch.

Fixxed!

Went into Steam\steamapps\common\monday night combat\HostileGame\Config\DefaultEngine.ini

and set FullScreen=False, the game opened up and ran in a windowed mode,
for some reason my monitor wasn't happy with the resolution the game was trying
to run at. I dont know why, it was working fine before the patch on 12/22.
In windowed mode i was able to change the resolution, and set it back to
full screen, it seems to be happy now.
