Tutorial works, skirmish works. GW doesnt.

Settings - Server - Local OFF : quite long load times "preparing to land" - Once commander lands, pause upon touchdown, couple minutes, error "world something went away" and back to map screen.

Settings - Server - Local ON & AUTO : faster loading - Once commander lands, pause upon touchdown, couple minutes, WINDOWS error window pops up about server being booboo, returns to map.

No mods. Fresh install. Titans and PA both thru firewall. PC specs good, ran PA just fine.

Can you post a PA log and a server log with the local server on? You can find the server logs in:
Windows: %LOCALAPPDATA%\Uber Entertainment\Planetary Annihilation (Just copy-paste this in the address bar of Explorer)
    OSX: ~/Library/Application Support/Uber Entertainment/Planetary Annihilation
    Linux: ~/.local/Uber Entertainment/Planetary Annihilation

The PA logs are in the same directory, but in the folder "log".

The easiest way to pick the right ones is to just delete all of the logs, start PA, try GW, and close. There should be a server-....txt and a PA-.....txt file.

That one says mods are still loaded though. Specifically these might cause trouble:
    Code:
    [13:29:48.203] INFO Loading mod : com.wondible.pa.gw_unit_cannon
    [13:29:48.203] INFO Loading mod : com.wondible.pa.no_gw_video

Could you try running PA with --nomods and try again (with local server on)? Also please upload the newly created PA log if it still doesn't work. And the server-2015-....txt one as well (those should be one directory up from where you found the PA-...txt logs).
