hello, i don't know if someone has posted this already but i figured i'd give it a try. every time i try i play galactic war everything works fine up until i jump to a planet thats occupied and i click fight. once i click fight the mouse cursor turns into the loading wheel and the screen turns white after about a minute like this it crashes and closes. i have the same problem for multiplayer as well when i try to play against the a.i. after i click start game it'll count down then go to a black screen after a minute the screen will turn white and it crashes. anyone got a work around or do i just have to wait for a fix. granted if its even the game thats causing it. any help is much appreciated. i've included a screenshot of the direct x diagnostic. if anything else is needed just ask. thanks in advance
First of all you CPU and RAM seem a bit on the low end side, but that shouldn't be the issue, unless you are running integrated graphics. I would recommend you give us the full DxDiag. That is done by clicking the save all information button on the window you screenshoted and uploading the file it creates to this forum. I'm guessing it's an outdated graphic drivers problem, but that is something you cna only see form the file and not that screenshot. I'll upload my dxdiag so oyu can see what it looks like. EDIT: In the mean time, try this, if you haven't yet.
yes i know this, it's not a laptop built specifically for gaming but it does decently for the games i play. here is the updated info y0u asked for. looking forward to hearing your thoughts
Try updating your drivers and report back. Your version is "14.100.0.0", updated on 17th of April, according to this the latest one is "14.10.1006" on 25th of April. if the problem persists @SXX will take over, he has a lot more idea of what might be wrong. EDIT: The Driver on that page are for Desktop AMD HS 7xxx series, for windows 8.1 x64.
I didn't notice anything suspicious in your system info file. If you're running game though Steam there also two more things you can try: 1 - Try to run game without "Steam Community Overlay": Right click the game in your Library -> Select Properties -> On the General tab, uncheck the box next to Enable Steam Community In-Game 2 - Try to run it using standalone launcher: https://store.uberent.com/download/pa
so i used catalyst control center to up date my driver and it installed 14.100 again. i included the results below. so i went back to the website and downloaded again thinking i had installed the wrong one. so i ran it as custom and it brought up a list of what it was going to install i went to amd display driver and again it says 14.100 and it says its up to date. i did some reading and it stated that 14.10.1006 was a linux display driver. arent' windows and linux different os's. i'm not very familiar with these things so pardon my ignorance. and where can i find my activation code on steam so i can enter on the website to get the standalone version? thanks for the help its much appreciated
You just need to link your UberNet and Steam accounts here: https://uberent.com/user/linksteam Once it's done you'll able to use standalone launcher.
ok so after downloading and the standalone and updating game files i finally got to play multiplayer i'll try galactic war later tonight, but as i said it seems to be working. thank you for the help in resolving this matter
ok so after working for a couple of plays over a few days it has started to give me the same problem i mentioned in the beginning of this thread. it now also says the microsoft windows has stopped responding. i've included a screen shot of this problem in action. any advice would be appreciated. i'll wait for a reply i know you guys got your hands full.
