Can't grapple while running with shuriken launcher

Just for giggles when playing as Assassin i'll sometimes only use the shuriken launcher to mix things up. However, a problem sometimes occurs where i'll use Sprint to get near my target, then when I try to grab him the effect doesn't happen, as the grapple simply refuses to work while i'm sprinting. I don't have this problem when i'm using the dagger or katana, so i'm not sure if this is intended or not.

You can't do anything but jump or lunge while you're sprinting.
