Can you play a game online with Mac vs PC

    This might be a dumb question.. Civ 5 didn't allow it so I figure I ask before I tell my friend to buy it. Can I log in and play a game on my mac, and have him use his copy on a PC, and we play against each other?

    Yep, Servers are hosted by Uber and the same servers are for all players, Mac, Linux, and PC.

    PA updates are 100% synchronous on all platforms. Uber put a lot of effort into making most of game code cross platform, so it's not even a "port", but exactly same game for everyone.
