Yeah that should run it, although you'll need to keep the graphics settings low due to the fairly weak igpu on the i5.
You might struggle with bigger games on 2 cores and only 8GB RAM as 1.5GB of that will be used by the integrated Intel Iris Graphics 6100 to drive the retina display. (next time I recommend that you buy the max 16GB RAM as it's not upgradeable)
