can i arbitrarily reassign the arrow/wasd keys?

TL/DR: I don't want the arrow keys nor WASD for map panning, I want ESDF. From my first look at both the game options and in the available mods, I haven't found an option to do that. Can I do that, and if so how?

Long version:

I've been a touch typist for a very long time, and I like to design my keybinds around that. Specifically, I use the ESDF keys for movement with my left hand on the touch typing home keys (ASDF), then build all my other vital keybinds around that. My right hand stays on the mouse, and I don't have to move my left hand from the home position, so I can issue commands quickly and instinctively. I

So it's really problematic for me when keybinds are hardcoded within the game and prevent me from using my preferred control setup. If anyone can show me how this can be done - or confirm that it can't (currently) be done in PA, I'd appreciate it.

They're hard coded at the moment to be only arrows or WASD, but it's being moved to their own unique bindings so it can be mapped anywhere you want, and also so they don't cause issues when people have the WASD option selected but still have WASD mapped to other things in the keybindings menu.

I use IJKL for SMNC. It is because I use the pinkey fingers to the left for skill-moves on YGH. I also use chat on DF. I believe high five is in some keys in between and stuff. Ofc, the weapon switch and fires are on the mouse lol.
