Please guys do a full camera rotate option to the game, because the current camera not too good, we can't see enough from the map. Thx, Don.
Steve: "So, again like Jon said; what you're about to see is all temp." Jon: "So, UI? Temp. Steve: "Mhmm." Jon: "Planet? Temp." Steve: "Yup" Jon: "Units? Temp. Nothing's finished." 1:32 into the Livestream. --- Jon: "Obviously this isn't anywhere near finished. The camera's not finished, y'know? The UI system still has a long way to go." 6:37 into the Livestream.
I assume you mean this: Plot Shmot. I'm just relating information, nothing more. If you choose to see more into it than just the surface, that's your business --- If I reeeeaaaally wanted to convince you... I'd post a whole new thread linking and quoting all the posters who made terrible leaps in logic, shortsighted missteps and what almost seems to be willful ignorance on the subject that they just posted about. But I'm not THAT bored yet. Give it time and a few more livestreams...
I don't think the camera should ever clip anything. Allowing it to go in front of things is nice though so it doesn't just zoom you out if something gets in the way.
I completly disagree to the idea to have such freedom for rotating the camera. I hope sc2 teaches something regarding camera managment
I wish I lacked the morals to inject my viewpoints into any slightly relevant thread. You have your thread on this already, the very least you could do is link to it to save us all the trouble; viewtopic.php?f=61&t=44892&start=0 Mike
terrain clipping should have no practical strategic value, it would be for cinematic views of combat or units, it was also a major complaint of the FA camera
Au contraire it certainly should have strategic value. Being able to get a good overview from any angle would be very nice. It IS very nice in supcom2 but it is foiled by the resetting when you zoom out too far. Just like supcom2 without the resetting and I'm happy really.
