By design so far, the camera movement ingame is really not helpfull. you are forced to either use teh keyboard arrows to normally move arround your base, or constantly zoom in zoom out. the middle mouse button click and Hold, its seriously painful for the finger, no practical, can easily lose zoom level, and above all this is not an RTS camera movement, when this is an RTS game! as many users already agree, there must be a scroll by moving the mouse to the edges of the screen like all RTS do so far. if it's not broken why change this basic RTS feature! you are forcing players to go back and forth in different keys on the keyboard, from building and moving orders to camera movement, making it hard to focus on battle and have fun. please add an option for the camera to be scrolling the map when the mouse gets to the edges of the screen. just from the middle lick and hold, its seriously a health issue for the finger's nerves, and incontinent fro gameplay thanks
Re: Camera movement needs to be possible from mouse edge mov I'm sure this will be implemented, but I can't see why people use it :S I keep my mouse near the middle of the screen 90% of the time, only moving it slightly off center, I use the arrow keys to move the camera around, using hotkeys to build units (hoping that gets implemented into PA soon in the gridkeys fasion similar to Dawn of War 40k) Seems like such a bother to move to the edge of the screen, and feels too imprecise to me.
Re: Camera movement needs to be possible from mouse edge mov seriously? since there is no minimap, you cant jump from point a to point be, you simple need to move many times around your base few pixels and you cant! after all dont forget moving the camera as you do from screen edges, can also be an option on the sensitivity, and how fast the camera will move! its a standard RTS formula shouldn't be removed. and after all the middle click holding, omg, it really hearts the "finger!" its not helpfull at all. also by using the arrows, as you said, you are slower in building and moving orders from the keyboard no matter how fast you are! you have to move teh cammera with the arrows, then pickup your hand, look your keyboard, place the hand over the key you want for command and press it! but when you are using the mouse, left hand is allready in the command key ready to press when the other hand has allready placed the camera and selected the unit you wish in "parallel" mode ;-) which is way faster and doesn't cause pain to the fingers.

To let the planet rotate, you must simply go with the mouse outsite the planet and use your mouse wheel. For example: 1. Zoom out with the mouse wheel. 2. Go with the mouse outside the planet and use the mouse wheel again. And the planet rotate. 3. Go with the mouse in the planet and zoom in. Thats all, and it works very well. :mrgreen:
Re: Camera movement needs to be possible from mouse edge mov zooming in and out so that you can just move up and left or down, its at least silly for me! try doing what i say with the middle scroll button, click it and hold id and move around! i saw that my tracker posts was marked as "Feature Incomplete" so it seems we will get the normal edge scrolls soon, hopefully when we have the fullscreen too. :mrgreen: otherwise the zoom-in zoom out, all the time makes you sick like watching a yo-yo up down up down up down :x

Re: Camera movement needs to be possible from mouse edge mov Personally I want to use WASD to move around as edge scrolling is pointless with duel/tri monitors as you are always going off the edge but I am sure all of these things will be implemented into the game at a later date also the ability to use q and e to rotate left and right would be awesome!
