I had a brief conversation with Ekanaut the other night about a possible gametype that I would like to see. 1 player at random is turned into BULLSEYE! (yes, the mascot) and his job is to be Bullseye as long as possible. He gets certain buffs (speed, cant be grappled, etc) and the player who does the MOST damage to him within a certain length of time then BECOMES Bullseye. In a 10 minute game, the player with the longest time as Bullseye WINS! Good? Bad? Fun? Not Fun?
That sounds awesome...would this be a FREE DLC kinda like what Red Dead did with it's free multiplayer DLCs??? But, yeah that sounds badass
Sounds like fun. But here's how I see it working out in actuality. I don't think a FFA gametype would work very well. You'll always have a good amount of people just killing each other and ignoring the objective (damaging bullseye). Yeah, they'll end up losing the game but it really detracts from the game when a good number of people aren't really playing how it's supposed to be played. Maybe incorporate the same idea but make it team based? Kinda like a VIP escort. There's one player that's in a bullseye mascot on each team, and you have to try to prevent yours from taking damage while hurting theirs? Or there's only one bullseye-player total, not 1 per team, and you have to kill the other team's bullseye for someone on your team to become bullseye and let your team rack up bullseye time. Quick on the fly switching from assault to defense. There's a lot of details to be worked out if that's the case. How to decide who is bullseye, when and if to switch them, whether to include bots or not. But yeah, just my 2 cent.
Mako, thats a helluva idea too. The Devs read this forum all day, too, so I'm sure their taking notes and will be discussing these things when the topic of DLC comes up.
I know this is prolly already considered in some Dev talks, but CTF and King of the Hill gametypes would be fun. And, I agree Mako made a great suggestion. I'm totally down for that gametype.
