Why arent there any actually buildings on the maps. Execpt for maybe ammomule. But i think it would be cool if the wasbuildings on the maps like that follow the bot path so you could move up in the building and have cover.
like it was posted and i responded somewhere else, tell me one set of classes that could encounter the typical building-with-2-small-doors situation in balance? a small building with small entrances and peephole-windows would be invincible. that kind of camping would break the game. no defeating the pros in a building, that will simply get you shotgunned. the game works better in more open areas, and if there are corridors then they tend to shy away from roofs, as airstrikes dont work, so roof are limited, and the space id extended to give mobility room. prespun minis and shotguns would be the only thing that works in a tighter area. if any buildings were to work at all, they would hafta have massive openings and massive width and height and many openings in the roof. hardly a building (like ammo mule's building)
But if say two people were holed up in a little building, they wouldn't be near their moneyball. The fact they are so dug in works both ways.
The maps are designed to allow a high degree of mobility, which deters camping. Many skills are designed to prevent players from reaching areas of the map, like the ice trap. Combine this with the chokepoints that would be created with buildings and you've got a serious camping issue. Steel Peel is an example of the 'chokeholds aren't fun' thing.
choke holds are fun tho... ...just to the person doing the choke hold... ...not so fun to the person in the choke hold...
