New to the game, and have been loving it so far. I've notice on a few plays that my "build menu" just disappears. I'm not sure if I'm accidentally clicking a button that makes it disappear, or if it happens to be a bug. Example, I'll click on either my commander, factory, or fabrication unit and normally a build menu will pop up with what is available to build. But sometimes (most often when I'm 10-15 minutes in the game, that menu disappears and I am no longer able to build anything. Any advice? Is it a simple fix on my end where I'm accidentally making it disappear, or is this just a bug? Thanks!
It's (partial?) UI crash. If some of controls keep working you can bypass the problem by pressing F5 or going to settings menu and back to game. In other cases you'll need to restart game client, but keep in mind that reconnect broken in galactic war.
Ya it doesn't happen all the time, and I can still attack and move units, but that's about it (since so much of the game involves building units). Do think something like this would be fixed in the near future?
Developers always try to hotfix issues when it's possible but: They need to find out what exactly cause crashes. Not just "new UI code cause crash", but good exact problem that trigger it. If it's easy to workaround this exact problem without spending too much time. Or if Coherent developers can provide some workaround.
I think I experienced the same issue yesterday, but what is more surprising: The build menu eventually came back after a minute. So Coherent probably didn't crash, the menu just wasn't activated on unit selection. I tried multiple different units though, and for that period none triggered the menu. Thinking about it: I'm not sure if the units were actually selected. I don't remember if the command menu did pop up. It was during one of the many server lags, so possibly the selection didn't go through. Thats at least something I remember happening more than just once.
