Team game 3 vs 3 players we have made the game hang for everybody. What I did just when it hung/freeze was to re enable in the energy orders menu to "consume". The idea was to press 'shift+F1' then conserve to have the storage recharge and then suddenly after 4 seconds I activated consume and then it froze for all players. We all could still rotate the planet. The animations of all units were frozen and nothing moved. (we really enjoyed this game because there were quite some balanced fights going on) Game found in PA Stats = Game #7792 (Lava planet) Hope this info can help
