Not sure which one it was in these cases, but I thought I'd bring them up. Today I was playing as an assassin. Started great but later on in multiple matches, same group I had throughout the day I found some issues that made me say some unpleasant stuff to myself ^^ The first incident was when I had jumped off a ramp on Steel Peel, at the time being chased by another assassin. A split second after I jumped, I found myself being back stabbed back on the top ramp. With this one I would point towards lag, but not sure. Though there was a second occurance of this on Lazer Razer. The second one is once again on Steel Peel. I was dodging through some bots after killing someone. I did a full lung to get away. I saw the full animation of the lunge, but right before I 'touched' the ground at the end of the lung I found myself being hit by the Assaults Charge Grapple. That grapple had took place where I originally started the lunge. Not sure if this was a bug or lag, but just thought I'd bring it up.
Definitely sounds like lag. I'd know, 90% of the charge grapple kills I get come from me charging where an enemy was instead of where they are/will be. MNC is also the only game I can experience such counterintuitive lag in without hosting as well; I still get confused about what's actually going on at times.
This has happened to me a few times when I've charges/lunged/jump from a ledge, only to be teleported back up there and grappled. It's a lag issue I'm sure.
Definitely lag, air grapples are some of the most annoying things in this game but they're almost impossible to fix.
I see. I mean with the air grapple I can understand if say both of them were in the air and one grappled the other...but not when the other is on the ground =/ But oh well, thanks for the feed back guys. ^^
That's because; What you see is what everyone else sees two seconds later. What they see, you see two seconds later. When you jump, according to other players, you don't jump for another two milliseconds. When they jump, to you they don't jump for another two milliseconds. Therefore, if a grapple is successful during those two milliseconds, you are forced back to the ground simply because TO THEM, you are still on the ground and hadn't jumped yet. Trust me, you have done exactly the same thing to them, you just don't know it because... well... according to your 360, they never jumped.
Thats not true there is a way to fix 99.99% of all the lag issues with MNC they are called Dedicated Servers
