No matter what I try, I get a windows box telling me that Client.Exe has stopped working.
I tried running the Installer as an admin in case that helped, but it doesn't.

I have both on separate setups on same machine. I'm definitely running 64-bit for PA tho

Is it giving you a .dmp files in your %temp% folder?

At the command line you can do
    cd %temp%

    then
    dir *.dmp

    and post one of them.

K, getting the same issue with my works PC, which has only EVER had 64-Bit Windows 7 on it. This is now using the 49073 build.
The dump file is included (I hope)

K, this is the first .Dmp file from my home PC, from the 49031 build.
Again, changed the name from *.Dmp to *.Txt to allow for uploading.

    Thanking you in anticipatory mode

So I'm fairly certain this is related to it trying to use the internal GPU instead of the ATI GPU. You need to force it on using your driver and try that. We are trying to work with ATI to figure out a better solution.

Soz for the delay in replying.
The onboard graphics isn't my problem, as neither of the
two systems I'm testing use it. Neither do I have any
ATI cards. However, as graphics seems to be a key area
for compatibility, I downloaded newer drivers.

This may have subsequently helped, but at the time it didn't.

One of the builds you released (I forget which) changed the
error message to the now common "Pa.Exe" not working,
which I saw as a step forward.

I finally got a setup working yesterday, and the thing which
appeared to fix the error (for me), was to update the sound
    drivers.

One of my systems still won't run the game, but I'm now
putting that down to a too-old graphics card.

Cheers, and thanks for the replies so far, and I hope you're
having as much fun as we are.....
