Brink: "Being slammed by critics" - NO PARTY SYSTEM??

He said it's being "slammed by critics" as the games online NO party system is causing confusion and lots of frustration. Any US people who have the game care to shed any light with this or get rid of my fears. I don't want to get this game if I can't play with friends. Honestly, if this is the case I feel its a very bad move by the developers.

His personal scoring of it seems to be nice and I suppose if your a lone player maybe the game is fun?

Parties are a new thing. SD does things the traditional way. "Join Game"

You can either play Solo, Co-Op, Friends & Invites, or Everyone. You can also start your own Public and/or Private match. It is not as bad as everyone is making it out to be.

Joining a game with friends is as easy and pressing a button. Besides you have Xbl parties. Like I said it's really not that big of a deal.

I returned it. So laggy. No party system im disappointed.

On another point I haven't had any or very minimal lag.

seems like all the issues are something i WON'T experience on PC, no fps lag or connection lag, so im gonna be happy

Yes Stretch, but can you actually end up on the same team as your friends every game all the time?

So far, yes. I mean before you even choose where you want to play you choose what side you are playing as. So if you both are on Security you will both be on the same team.

Why do people bash games for not following the current and down-spiraling trend of "modern" games and gaming?

You want to "play with a friend"? Then go find him dammit. Anyone here had an original xbox? Anyone here had a super nintendo? C'mon, I been doing this shtuff since C&C Renegade in 2001. My roommate does this annying "I can't do things on my own" stuff all the time, and damn it bugs me.

Just click join session, quit relying on your new redundant features which does the same old thing in a new way.

i play by myself most of the times anyway so that party feature is a giant MEH for me, the ati graphics card issues on the other hand :evil: both games i actually want to play are having this issue, i think nvidia is looking better and better now

Try a few of the fixes that exist.
The r_shadows thing, the Triple Buffering, etc.

Nvidia still looks the same as ever. Cost is high (i.e. ATI cards are cheaper for the same performance) but reliable.

No one cares that is how it was done in the 90s, not being able to join a match with your friends all at once is a huge oversight and It's Dumb As **** no matter how you want to spin it.

I'm not going to lie I have this gut feeling their next patch will include lobbies and parties. I mean at the Brink forums that is the only complaint about the game, for the console version at least. Sure there is complaints about lag but that comes with any hyped release in it's first week.

So really if Splash Damage want to save their game they really do need that.
