This is a neat little idea I noticed (and sortof improved) on spuf. The original idea is from Crimson_V (spuf username), to allow players to upgrade their team's bots by spending money.

    Here's the current full idea:

bots can be upgraded during matches to improve any combination of stats (speed, armor, power, etc... it has to remain balanced, so I canmt say for sure what stats get upgraded and by how much, that's all up to uber).

The process of upgrading bots doesn't involve money. There's a large, clear glass spunky can near both bases, or to make it risky, near the middle of the map. Players can run up to it, and as long as they're within a set distance, they can hold the action key to transfer juice to the can through a sortof purple healgun stream. This will fill up the can, and once it's full, the bots of that team are upgraded and the can is emptied. Perhaps to keep people from mixing up the cans if they're in the middle, red team has red/pink juice (strawberry or cherry flavour?).

The amount of juice needed depends on the bot upgrade level. The first upgrade requires a full juice bar, the 2nd upgrade requires 2 full juice bars, etc (or different values to balance them).

Since juice buying could become a problem, you can not fill up the can with bought juice. If you bought juice at any point, you will have to use (or die to lose) the current juice bar and earn juice through fighting in order to fill the can again.

Since upgraded bots will have more armor, things automatically balance out over time, as the team with lower level bots will have stronger bots to deal with, and will earn more juice because of it (thus being able to get up on par with the other team soon enough).

Perhaps, bots could also ignore enemy turrets (not enemy bots) when they're upgraded to a certain (max) level, but that's just a small side suggestion.

Let me hear what you think.

I like the idea of upgrading the breach bots

But I don't see any good reason why CASH MONEY wouldn't be used for it. It would be a perfect additional option for spending extra cash on offense, other than buying juice over and over, or spawning a hundred gapshots.

btw the giant spunky can is an idea I sortof copied from an existing idea (new game mode idea by someone else; first team to fill up their gigantic spunky can with juice wins the match).

Because money doesn't vanish when you die, and you can easily gain money. You could just run out there recklessly, kill all you can, and spend money on the upgrade progress once you've died and respawned. Making it so you can only spend money you gained in your active life would only be confusing as well.

Thank you for posting without asking me beforehand  Kinda rude eh? Also, my idea was originally to make it cost cash.

It doesn't matter anyway, as long as the idea gets enough attention. Keep up suggesting people.

What I would like to see is Breach Bots automatically upgrading every time a Jackbot spawns, just like in Blitz.
