Maybe this has been said before and clearly there would have to be some balance constraints (like maybe one per juice and per team at a time), but I think it would be pretty cool if every class could spawn a Jackbot instead of regular bots while juiced for an expensive cost. If the balance issue could be worked out, I imagine the hedonistic pleasure of spawning a Jackbot would be considerable.
I'm not sure I would waste a juice on a jackbot, much less juice and a large amount of money. Just doesn't seem worth it.
Yeah, that. I'm not even a good player in Crossfire and I think bots are a joke. They can be a brief distraction, but unless a team is rolling nothing except Assaults and Snipers bots(even Jackbots) just aren't really going to make a difference. How about a twist on that idea though? If you spawn bots while juiced, they're at the equivalent of round 100+ bots from Blitz mode. Of course they're still going to get torn apart really really fast by Tanks, Gunners, Supports, and Assassins but they're be so vastly stronger than regular Crossfire bots you could almost argue that it'd be a good use for your juice. Except I'd still prefer to use juice in a more productive manner than spawning bots
Isn't that all the bots in Crossfire? Of course besides Jackbots. A good distraction can give your team that extra push they were looking for.
I think people are really underestimating how much havok a jackbot would cause if he was spawned while the other normal waves are still going. I'm all for this idea (Gapshot/Turtle Support: Gapshot, Overheal, Gapshot, Overheal, Hack Gapshot, Overheal, Juice, Taunt, Spawn Jackbot.) I doubt we would ever see it though.
Eh. In random games I don't think it's notable unless there are players on the team that realize escorting the Jackbots is actually a good idea. Since like most online games 90% of the people playing MNC are incompetent(inexperienced/drugged up/squeaker/idle), I don't think even two Jackbots poses much of a problem. A single competent player can tear Jackbots apart pretty well unless they've got godawful lag.
A better idea would be to have a spawn pad where players could put money in to add to a certain amount which would then spawn a jackbot. Like, say, 2000-2500$?
like this idea. not the cost, but the details are a devs problem, i just like the idea. i cant test for balance, but i say 900-1200 for a jackbot would be worth it (pending what the price for rokkit turrets end up, id say 200 more than a lvl3 rokkit turrets acumulative worth) you probably know what im going to say, but yes, this is an idea from c&c renegade you could donate money to your team (or to 1 certain teammate if he had a plan you liked and needed money to carry it out), and you could put cash in a team fund to be distributed for a short time after your refinery was destroyed (it only lasted a minute and distributed maybe 400 each to a team of 12 by time it was done) which was great if you didnt save money and your refinery died randomly (nobody on your whole team realized a hotwire made it in to your base, nor the multiple bricks of c4 planted on the mastercontrolterminal) thats a good idea too, a donate feature. you could put it into the in-game leaderboards. i bet these ideas are going to be on the very bottom of the dev's list of to-do's, but these are good wishes, eh? could you imagine a team where a few well-funded snipers could syphon money down to everyone else? that would be amazing...
Donating money to teammates? I like the idea. We've got three unused buttons to work with, too! D-pad left and both analog sticks
Well, considering how fast I get money in crossfire, I usually end up with 2000$+ with any class 2 minutes before overtime wanting to have something to spend my money on that will help me attack rather than defend.
I would mug rather see uber bots. The same bots would spawn but juiced basically and they would have an attribute added to. Examples: Buzzers move twice as fast. Bouncers for tank have twice as much health and move slightly faster. Blunders for gunners move twice as fast and move slightly faster. Gapshots shoot 2 shots or just a stronger shot Scramblers have increased armor to their front and increase the range of the skill drain aura. Gremlins would get an increase to speed and bonus to armor when they come out of clock. Now obviously they would all have increase to damage too. I have also come up with an alternative to the increased stats instead give them abilities. The abilities would correspond to the classes skill. Examples: Gremlins can dash when close enough to their target or even lunge. Bounced for would have his charge change into the tanks charge or when it dies it explodes like product grenades since it is a melee bot. Bounced for gunner could have a slam, so it would lunge at the enemy and slam the ground next to it. Buzzers could do basically do a charge, maybe even latch onto to bots to have a bigger explosion aura. Scramblers when they die could cover a large area with basically the level 3 ice trap with less or no skill drain. Another idea i had was for it to basically radiate flak. The bots would obviously cost more and take longer to recharge but this would be expected. And since they glow thy would be easy to prepare for but it doesn't mean they would be easy to stop. With this you could even introduce more milestones for kills win them, or destroying them. Turret building would also have to smarter or else your base will get wrecked. So over all i believe this would increase the depth of the game but for something this big would require a dlc which i would pay for!
Just give me something to buy other than juice and regular bots, and I'll be happy. I'd love to be able to buy a jackbot, but for the same price as juice. They can both be just as devastating.
^this. and the donating idea. both are probably at the bottom of the list of the dev's concerns, but throwing ideas out here are good, they can take and use what they like the sound of.
