    Discuss.

Bouncers can get grapple kills, but are incredibly slow. Buzzers are annoying and can do some good damage. Gremlins are invisible, fast, do good damage, and knock down moneyballs. Scramblers move forward at the pace of a Zombie and drain your skills.

    Do you think they're balanced?

Taking into account which class spawns them... yes.

In my personal opinion, gapshots and gremlins are the most effective bots to spawn, and scramblers are the least effective.

Gapshots begin dealing damage to enemy turrets, bots, and/or players as soon as they are spawned. One of my favorite things to do is to spawn an endless stream of gapshots, in which case I get an assist on just about every kill in the match. You also steal plenty of kills with them, and, especially if you taunt after each kill (which isn't a problem because you're standing safely in your base), you make so much money off of your gapshots that you never run out of money to keep spawning gapshots. I've gotten MVP on several occasions using this method.

Gremlins are effective because they are good at taking out turrets (in part because they take ridiculously little damage from turrets), and they can surround pros, making them difficult to escape at times.

The only thing scramblers are good for, as far as I know, is draining skills. But they have to get very close to you in order to do that, and as you said, they move very slowly. It is easy to take them out before they get close enough. I have never had any trouble with scramblers in Crossfire.

Next time I play Sniper, I'm actually going to spawn about ten scramblers - just out of curioisuty - to see if they do anything.

The tank should have its own bot, especially since everyone seems to think it's so underpowered.

Scramblers and Bouncers seem fairly underpowered to me.

I think bouncers are fine, both when spammed and especially when escorted.

The gunner needs a new bot more than the tank.

I second that. When I first started playing, I actually thought that this was the case. I had spawned bots with every class but the tank. I figured that the larger-than-usual hordes of blackjacks I sometimes saw were there because the tank had spawned extras. When I tried it myself and found that the tank and the gunner both spawn the same type of bot, I was a little surprised.

perhaps the gunner should have a different bot... for now its balanced so i dont personally see the need, but it would make sense anyway.

but snipers stay at spawn, near the bot spawn anyway (dont give me no camping grief, you should play MW2 if your going to run around 360-sniping), so they can spawn (now 2 at a time) scramblers with the blackjack waves, to make the blackjacks less "desireable" to mess with.

know how many assassins, tanks, supports, and assaults that would screw with? imagine a game of blitz, where your skills got even a little tapped by a stray scrambler thats walking with blackjacks, and all of a sudden an enemy pro comes out of nowhere and is very serious about your death. wheres your escape dash, your emergency/oh-**** bomb/airstrike, your smoke bomb, your escape charge, ect...?

    Scramblers should fly.

Gunner should get gapshot, Support should be allowed to choose (using a turret upgrade like menu) between Gapshot, Bouncer, or Scrambler.

Not quite high enough to make them dangerous ;)

Maybe the Supports passive could let them choose a different bot per level. Scrambler at level 1, Bouncer at level 2, and Gapshot (which I think is the most effective) at level 3.

Crazy idea I know, always full of them.

I thought I had once read, before it was cut out of game, the Support had the ability to hack things other than turrets. Support already has a nice array of tools, so I guess this would just have made him OP.

and not to derail the topic. I think even with 2 scramblers being spawned, their effect will still be lackluster compared to the other bots. Make them fly, or give them a lazer that drains skill. Spawning two of an underpowered bot won't help their cause imo.

I didn't really wanna post my opinion till others posted theirs. IMO gremlins are overpowered because they are invisible, deal damage without blowing up, and can take down turrets and the moneyball unlike any other classes bots. Bouncers are slightly underpowered but I think that could be fixed with a speed or swing damage boost. Scamblers are underpowered, but gap shots are overpowered(and they create hardcore lag)

one death blossom or .3 seconds of a minigun kills them, as an assassin i love seeing gremlins come for me, free cash and juice. Used at the right time and ammount, they are deadly, it takes some finesse to use them properly. However as the game stands now, pre dlc, scramblers are useless, gapshot are only viable on 3/4 maps, buzzers are only effective against campers or a very panicked base, and bouncers are very situational. If, however (with the exception of buzzers, and scramblers (for now)) If you can properly escort a bot, it's effectitude is much greater

I agree and disagree at the same time. By themselves, they might be a tad UP, but, spawn one and follow it into the enemy base and it helps out tremendously, especially if your already putting pressure on the base.

Either way, they do cause a distraction, sometimes long enough to really put a hurting on people. Save $300-$400 and spawn them one after the other, going from one bot spawn to the next, bouncer havoc is a wonderful thing to watch.

I agree bouncers can be very effective if given some cover, or to use as a distraction, but half of the time they're just slow moving juice for your enemy. Buzzers are great for annoying people, and killing hurt gunners after they juice in your base(I've died like that a few times). I'm going to do some testing later, but it seems like sometimes gremlins go directly after the ball. I've lost a game where our ball went down, with us outslaying he other team, and both our turrets were up. And if it was because someone spawned invisible bots that turrets can't see, that's not right.

I've heard other people mentioning gremlins downing the shields, but I've never seen it happen. Seems everytime I leave spawn and we have gremlins in our base, they are either chasing a pro or attacking a turret. Might be a freak occurrence. Now, they will go after the ball if they don't have any other targets right?

It doesn't happen very often, but occasionally gremlins tunnel underground.

By the way, when's our first All Goldy Gold's team practice, coach. I want to be ready to hit the pads hard.
