Bot changes?

    Hello!

    So, the latest build brought some cool new planet types! Love it!

    However the last 5 games we have played have been exactly the same. BOTS BOTS BOTS and they steamroll over any defense. 100 tanks? decimated. Walled defenses? Gone. Doesn't make a lot of sense. Have things been adjusted for bots to now make them THE choice?

    Has anyone else seen this? are we just playing wrong now since things have changed?

    I got steamrolled by bots last night. What's the best defence against them? A larger number of bots?!

    Solid defenses help & lots of intel. Or if you can slow them down or force them to bunch up then AOE weapons slaughter them.
    Tanks also tend to kill them very quickly if the tanks are in similar numbers & microed so they approach head on to avoid rotating there turrets to much. Still well micro'd bots can kill tanks if they can get off to the side of them.

    Still if you let them get 100+ bots and they march into your base with your tanks on the other side where your defenses are weak you'll die. So try and spot the Bots well before they arrive (radar and scouts) & move your tanks in front of them so they run directly into them...

    ants are really bad vs t1 bots, they just can't hit them. Bombers work surprisingly well. T1 laser towers + walls work decently but I don't like to build a lot of static defense.

    You can sorta deal with bots using tanks if you are running away from them and they chase you but if you fight nose to nose you will lose all your tanks and they will lose hardly anything assuming they do a small amount of micro.

    If you get enough static defense bots become almost useless but if they throw in a few t2 units to take out the static defense then your dead.

    Walls help a lot. Just wall over one side of your base/bases and bots can do almost nothing to break through.

    As for the rest, place your tanks centrally and when you see the enemy approaching just move your tanks to the side of your base (but still near your buildings). The bots have to come close to attack the buildings and then your tanks slaughter them, or they will endlessly prancing around your base in which case your pelters kill them, eventually.

    If bots attack head on they will always lose against tanks as long as some expendable buildings are between the bots and your tanks.
