I launch the game and it starts up with a black screen, i can hear the music and see the standard PA blue cursor, i have updated my graphics drivers etc. And have no programs that might be interfering with the application.

If you have it, you can either disable it or check out this thread to make Afterburner work with PA: https://forums.uberent.com/threads/blackscreen-on-startup-since-last-update.63440/#post-991967 EDIT: Just read that the MSI Afterburner black screen issue was fixed with RivaTuner Statistics Server v6.3.0.
