When I run PA on my macbook pro i7 2.5Gz with a AMD Radeon HD 6770M and 8gigs of DDR3 the planets are just black with very little contrast, Crtl F11 doesn't work like it does on the windows version.
Is there something I can do to fix this or is it just this version of PA that doesnt like my mac?

But bad thing is: Sometimes I'm still need to sleep, so I can't do that whole day. :D

So be sure I'll look at your post and answer you.

Also your DxDiag.txt says your video card driver is dated 4/30/2013, you may need to find newer driver for your onboard GPU.

    To alpha789 -

I'm the graphics programmer on PA, and I'd like to help you get the game running if I can. I had a couple of questions on what you're seeing when you run the game:

    1. When you say "black planets" do you see anything at all on screen, or is the entire window black? If you see planets with features (e.g. trees, etc), but the surface is just black, then I'd be interested to know. If this is the case, I might be able to add another graphics settings preset to avoid this issue for your (and similar) machines.
    2. Have you tried adjusting your settings to lower quality settings? In the settings screen, select low for the quality preset, and this should disable anti-aliasing, HDR, etc. Doing this will disable most of the advanced rendering features in the game.

I'll follow up once I know more.
