Ok, so I thought of this, but I'm sure I'm not the first. Two commanders agree on commanders that the other one doesn't have. Then they play a 1v1. Winner gets the other's commander.

We don't completely know that, Tf2 for example has a huge trading but yet it also has the whole in game store.

    That is a good point.

Would be a good way to promote fair Multiplayer action :3

Kinda bummer though for people who cant playonline though.

Iam almost certain you can't use TF2 as an example for this.

Guys. Two commanders. Perhaps an Armalisk and a Delta. They fight. Winner keeps their own and get the other person's. TF2? Really now.

There's no benefit to having several of the same commander skin, so I'm not so much skeptical of this as I am incredibly cynical.
Supposing you're 'teh bestest PA player of them all', and you quickly gain all of the commander skins, what do you do next?

The point was you can trade in tf2, and you can buy items in a catalog.

I was helping your arguement by bringing up Tf2? :S

I mean, if you want to, I guess you can. I just don't see how it fits.

He said it may kill the selling of commanders, when in fact it *may* not- You see in Tf2 you can buy weapons/hats/whatever from the store (Or wait forever) or trade! Now trading certainly mus'n't have killed the catalog, otherwise why would Tf2 still be a thing? (Unless Valve is just so rich they can do that! xD )

It'd be similar in PA, people fighting to get each other's commanders MIGHT not kill the selling of commanders. As in it's not concrete which way it would go; it could go either. :p

Someone who loses their favorite com might be desperate enough to buy it back :) That's another reason it might not kill com sales.

If theres a chance that you would actually lose your favorite Commander, and you would be forced to buy it again?

    No freaking thank you.

    -1 to this idea.

But erm.. This *chance* would be something you'd do in a formal agreement, you wouldn't just be playing, lose, and whoops! There goes my fav comm..

You'd have to agree with the other that "If I lose you get X; if I win I get Y."

Don't you earn items in TF2 just by playing?

I don't imagine many people actually pay for them.

Heres a new idea, since people like me who payed £50 for this game and some more feel a little hard done by why not just make commanders free

My only concern, is that this would be borderline illegal in some places.

Besides, if you have a gambling problem, play Runescape like everyone else. You can stake as much pixel cash in combat of a gimmicky skilltype as you want, or if you suck at combat you can just bet on a Random Number Generator like color of flowers or dice roll.
