How about having 2 slots of gear? One for the suit, and one for the "misc" item(s), but also being able to select the gear from our locker room so we don't need to select it at every match.
I don't think a pro with the retro suits and outlander "misc" items would look too ridiculous, or a pro using the outlander's darker suits and the preseason hero's golden plating, etc.
i said that mostly for the TF2 gears and how Uber could be releasing more gears and matching them up could make some funny-looking pros. as long as we get some more fitting gears, i don't see a problem with seperate slots since that adds a lot to customization, and would help a lot in convincing my friend to buy the game
Hmm, now I remembered of the assassin's cardboard tube samurai gear, well, that hat and those clothes really wouldn't fit with anything else :/ Maybe some gears could be complete sets that can't be changed while others are suit and misc.
Well, What I was thinking about would be that the TF2 items and the Valentines shoulderpads would go in the same slot (misc, or another name dunno ), so that wouldn't be possible. Like: Suits: Default, Retro, Outlander. Misc: Valentines shoulderpad, Outlander armor, Beta shoulderpad, TF2 items. Set (Suit or Misc can't be changed): Cardboard Tube Samurai.
Why not? We need to have something to spend our dosh on, since we eventually buy all the custom class slots and pro-tags are not enough.
hats ruined tf2 the last thing we need is the same lame crap in this game imho there is too much gear already i can just see it now in 6 months time you will get "wtt green painted shoulder pads for pink sin mask" spammed in chat non stop
Nah, I don't think Uber is going to ruin their game like Valve did with TF2, so far the gears added aren't bad and I would say they fit quite well.
I'm going to go with this. I like the option of making smallish cosmetic changes to a character. I usually run with the beta gear because the shoulder plate looks pretty awesome. I think fixed gear like we have now is all that is required. Simple doesn't always mean that it needs improvement or any kind of added complexity. Simple is sometimes adequate.
