Hey, I just got the beta and I soon found a problem. When I start a match I get the "starting game" menu for ages then it finally goes into the game but once it goes into the game the screen is competely black. All I hear is music and all I see in version number, my starting energy/metal, chronocam, and the small screen when you quit the game. I updated my drivers last week so I don't think its the problem.

Try a few times, update drivers and check to make sure updated, and if all that fails send a dxdiag so it can be troubleshooted.

Also, it isn't beta. It is the alpha test of the beta build. To get it ready and make sure it runs for beta release. That is scheduled today but we are waiting to hear more on it from the devs, they might need time to make stuff work.

Just keep waiting. This happens to me and others -- you're in the game, it's still rendering the system.

If you're playing on like 3 planets, it may take less than a minute. 7 planets and it might take 5-10 minutes. Just tough it out.

Don't sure if this a problem, but it's interesting:
    Code:
    Processor: n/a
Never seen DxDiag fails to detect CPU.

Can you say what motherboard/CPU you have? You can check it using CPU-Z util:

Seems like it's your problem, try to wait for 5-10 minutes. There might be some performance issues because of slow CPU.

Most likely some Windows bug, just never happen before on this forum :)

Good news, its working all of a sudden. Really fun, I am trying to figure out how to smash planets. I tested muitiple games and it seems to be working well

I have the exact same problem, except it has been doing it for me since early alpha, the only time it has worked is at a friends house on the same computer, which makes no sense.
Also I get alot of runtime errors and crashes.
