Reposting this from the Steam forums.

Crossfire (moneyball) gamemode would be awesome if it had this implemented. A special mode in crossfire in which players can actually bet some of the money they have earned from regular matches. That would probably gave the game a new meaning in terms of competitivity, since they are actually risking a lot.

For example, in the team selection screen you have to choose a team (no random available). Once the teams are sorted out, you have to put a minimum amount of cash into your team's pot (maybe the server admins can set a minium amount). The teams have to end up putting on their pots the same amount of money; the team members also have to bet the same amount.

Since each team have the same amount on their pots, each of the winning team member recieves the double of their original bet, while the losing team leaves home with nothing.

Hotshots/Icemen team players all bet 5,000 each (5 players).
    Hotshots pot: 25,000
    Icemen pot: 25,000
    Total pot: 50,000
Each member of the winner team receives: 5,000 + 5,000 (their original bet)
Each member of the losing team receives: 0 (loses the money they added to the pot)

The idea of the team members making a bet of the same amount would separate the games with small bets with the ones with large ones. I do believe this would add a lot of fun into the game, making it more exciting.

Opinions, things that could make this mode better, etc. are welcome.

Would only help if money actually did something after level 30-ish

Love the idea. Would work well once we have something to spend extra cash on. :D

I don't like it if you are actualy forced to do it.

If not it's a pretty idea.
