This year is great for gaming.

    Crysis 2
    Portal 2
Battlefield 3 - Scheduled for Winter 2011 but who knows
Gears of War 3 - Out in September 2011 (I think).
    Possibly a MW3 *crosses fingers*
New BO maps are out soon which I want to get.
I recently bought two arcade games, Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes and Section 8: Prejudice, both are awesome and really fun.
And hopefully 360 MNC content will be released this year to complete the great year :)

    EDIT: OH AND BRINKKKKK!!!1111111 :D :p :p :D :p

I am looking forward to Hybrid.

    http://xbox360.ign.com/objects/037/037860.html

Brink looks cool, but it just seems to be another FPS with some objectives added in. There is not a lot of gameplay or trailers for Hybrid, but it definitely seems cool.

Every FPS is "another" FPS. Just like every third person shooter is just "another" third person shooter. Doesn't make Brink a bad game. S.M.A.R.T. alone makes it pretty much the best FPS in years.

My "must get" list this year includes the following as of now:

Fancy Pants Adventures (just got it, I am a big Fancy Pants Fan, the first came out when I was 10 or 11 and I really like it)

DLC for MNC (supposed to come out around September? maybe....)

Hybrid - no specific release date yet, but seems promising

    Maybe
Mass Effect 2 or 3 or both - seem like pretty decent games.

Things that I thought about getting but no:
Portal: Still Alive - I still might get this, I wasn't that impressed by the demo though.

Red Faction Battlegrounds - The demolition derby-style gameplay was hard to control, wasn't impressed at all.

Brink - Awesome game, but I think I will wait for Hybrid, I only have so much dough to spend.

Trials HD - Just not my kind of game.........

Make sure you get the first before the other two if you don't already have it. Very important for a story-driven game.

You don't have to play the first one to understand two. It's built up in a way that it makes sense even without knowing what happened. I haven't played the first one (I have it, but never touched it) and with the exception of Saren I understood everything (and Saren was not important to the story of the second game anyway).

also mass effect 1 was better than 2 , so yes u must play the first.

my buddy has a ps3 and wants to play mass effect but i told him to borrow my xbox to play through mass 1 before he starts 2

It's worth the import bonuses and playing the story first-hand anyway.

    the way i like it.

mass 1 is important before 2 mostly because of how it sets the mystery , sure you can play 2 first but if you really want to get into the story you must play 1 first.

but for me , 1 is better for its music , story progression and climax , inventory + leveling , exploration (F all those who hated it) and the main villain was a f-cken great character. And a honorable mention to that end credits song.. really made it feel like a complete experience.. like the end of the movie The 5th Element.
