What's the best video card bang for buck with all settings maxed out...

    Keep in mind I play at 2560 x 1440 ... :)
My GTX 460 is starting to struggle (on medium settings)...

If I were you I'd wait until the game is finished, they're still heavily working on optimisation.

Just out of interest, what are all your current PC specs and what's your budget for the new card.

Once I have those details it should be a lot easier for me to make a recommendation.

    16 gb of ram
    i7 3770

Ideally if something was heaps better for 150 bux... but could go a bit higher if it was worth it...
And I prefer nvidia over radeon (a linux driver whinge even though I don't run linux natively anymore..)

If all you're upgrading is the V.Card, just figure out what your budget is, then buy the best card that you can afford?

A gtx760 is more than enough i found and it is dirt cheap compared to the other options the performance to value ratio is amazing and they only go for 180 pounds (uk) the 770gtx is a great card but it is not worth they money you pay but i hear the 750 is a good card too : )

Not everyone wants to spend money to always have the latest computer components.. Especially since they loose value faster than Justin Beiber looses his fans

I have a 1 GB Geforce GTX 650 that I have up for sale for 100 bucks that ran PA like a boss before my motherboard got fried. Card is still almost brand new not even 4 months old when I bought it XD

For this game, Nvidia Geforce. While I love AMD, they aren't as good at being parteners than Nvidia, so the game is slightly more optimized for Nvidia. However, AMD usually has the best price/performance ratio, and overclocking scales that even better. In the end, it's preference and price. Get the best you can for your money, and don't buy for just one game.

I only care about running on the lowest settings but I also have an i7 3770 with 16 gb ram and I just use the integrated graphics. It works fine for me.

I think on Windows you're safe enough playing on an AMD card for PA.

If you're intending on playing under Linux you'd be better getting an Nvidia card as AMD's linux drivers are hit and miss.

Good 'bang for buck' cards are the Radeon R7 265 or R9 270, Nvidia Geforce GTX 650ti is a good cheap option, and if you could stretch to it the GTX 760 is an awesome card. The GTX 750 and 750ti are both good cards (the most power efficient cards you can get at the moment), however they represent poor value compared to the Radeon boards.
