I tried the two closest spots near the wall with 3.3 hacked shavice and the only one which had any effect on the bots was the one in the open to the right of the wall. It will stop the bots right at the border between the thin line of both sides.

Placing a long shot in the back by the bot spawn seams to help eleminate the bots at 3.3. Placement of long shots in the other spots leads to them shooting at the enemies rocket turret.

Firebase: Try and sneak around the side and drop it at the enemies bots respawn area. Putting it by the corner out of sight may help it's life span or up top near the other side of the glass facing the bots.

shaveice turrets operate on a LOS like any other turret, so consider that when building/hacking one.

This is more for bot control.

Oh nice thread. I was actually experimenting with turret placement on Spunky Cola the past few days. This is what I found to be useful. It will require you to have a decent Support on your team. Also you'll need someone from the other team to destroy your back Rock-It turret, the one closer to the bot's spawn.

The turret that is to the left of your Moneyball and all others down the bot lane are hacked Rock-Its. The nub in front of your bot's spawn is a hacked Longshot. The two nubs in the back are use as a last line of defense against bots. The nub right of the Moneyball is a 3.3 Lazer Blazer and the one behind it is a 3.3 Shave-Ice with a hacked firebase watching for flankers. This also requires the Support to babysit the back area of your base. The hacked shave-ice does a great job at slowing the bots down and exposing any Assassins trying to flank.

In a random pub match it;s best to stay with Rock-Its and Longshots. Many will argue that Longshots aren't as good on but since the both bots meet in the middle it's great for damaging the bots when the clash.

Yes I noticed the long shots have a problem with the enemy rocket turrets if placed else where. Not sure if anyone camping above the rockets will get nailed but it seams that long shots want to nail those things first.

True but again you want to make a setup that will at least be effective for each map. This map the big problem is bots rush in big numbers. It's extremely easy for people to juice off the bots so eliminating them solves quite a few problems.

I usually put a 3.3 Lazor Blazor next to my bot spawn to deter Assassins.

2 Long Shots (one in the corner to the right of the money ball, one by your bot spawns)
3 Rockets (two next to the money ball, keep left one hacked always...and the one close to your ejector)
1 Shave-Ice (the nub right outside your base that's parallel with one of the pillars. Keep this hacked during OT)

That's how I've managed turrets when using Support on Spunky. During OT, I usually move my Firebase right above the jump pad to the left of your base. If you can cut off that platform, they'll try to go below and get slowed down by the Shave-Ice.

I'll give that setup a shot. My biggest problem on this map has always been assassins.

In the spare 10 seconds of when my team has control I build a lazeblaze in the open area and hack it. It's a good warning shot if anyone jumps down and since it's in the middle of the match it has a bit of protection.

^^ This, although early match I like to put a Shave Ice where the 2nd Long Shot would be, to deter/reveal any Assassins.

I never thought of placing a lazerblazer back by the bot spawn, thanks to whoever it was that said they did that. I sometimes forget assassins get back there and just hack away at bots @___@

Longshot in the back behind the moneyball rocket turrret works wonders. Laser blazer near the bot spawn and near the jump pad to the opposition base. Shavice inbetween.

This is by far the most effective setup I created with the help of 2-3 supports hacking everything. Firebase near laser blazers and shavice as well as one up top by the spawn room.

Hack them all 3.3 and your pretty hard to beat even if someone juices.
