It depends on what I want the FB to do. I usually place it in bot lane early to make some extra money. Once I have enough I tend to place it next to my sniper if he is worth a damn. It tends to keep assaults off of him a bit more, and the heal beam it has can help if he catches fire from a bomb. I sometimes put it at a rally point so people can use heal beam to top off their health.

I try not to put it anywhere that it can be explosive shot though, because taking away a wall to get cover behind is bad. I don't really care about air strikes though. If it forces the gunner/support a certain way to deal with the FB then it is a good thing.

Inside the moneyball is always fun though, also inside turrets.

That's what I do . LOL + it sort of stops them from having mid map control early game.

I tried various ones on steel peel in pm and noticed if they are in sight and can be hit long range they are least effective.. Its better to hide them around glass providing coverfire or direct backupfire when pushing.

Flak tears the hell out of them with explosive shot...
You need to know the range between hacks to make it effective...
Theres a big difference between hack 2 and 3 in range...
Also firebase 3 near cover is good for heals if you cant make it...
