Bouncers and gremlins together= mosh pit Buzzers/Gremlins- death from above and below Scramblers/Gremlins- Hell! Gapshots/Scramblers- Fun
Bouncers and Gremlins together are annoying as ****. Last night, I played a game on Spunky together with a friend who was playing assassin. When we both died, we were like: let's spawn some ****. We both got about 5 kills/assists per bot spawn. loved it
If you're on Spunky, and you spawn like 6/8 Gapshots..... hilarity will ensue! Love doing that.
Yes, this. And the best part about that strategy is that you can implement it without having to be one of those classes that isn't called Support. In seriousness, however, I find that gapshots and bouncers are by far the most effective of the spawnable bots. Gap shots do a great job softening bot waves and enemy turrets alike (and importantly, they do most of their damage BEFORE they get into enemy fire). As for bouncers, one bouncer, for the same price as a wave of gremlins or a swarm of buzzers, creates much more confusion and distraction among the opposing team. And let us remember, the point of the game is to win, not to get lots of kills. I don't care if a bouncer gets 0 kills; if it has distracted 2 players from the other team for 30 seconds, its done its job. I would also note that I have started to regard gremlins as free juice delivery boys. You usually get 1 box per gremlin and they are simple to kill if you are paying attention. Scramblers, other than looking cool and disturbing, are just pointless. its all of the slow, low-armor weakness of a gap-shot, and 0% of the "actually being a threat to the other team". Tastes bad, more filling! :?
The trick with gremlins is to spawn a lot of them. If you can get 5 waves out at once, they tear everything up completely.
Damn man! I was playing Spunky today, and OMFG, there was so many gapshots on enemy team. What the guy told me after was that he had just stuck his firebase in the mid area and ran off to the bot spawner, and just farm up money from the lane and spam them Really annoying tactic.
