In regards to the servers in Japan and Asia, son I am disappoint.

So I decided I might put up a dedicated one on my own machine (guess I will just leave it running all the time).
But first I have a few concerns.

The game crashes constantly while I am playing regularly. Does this also plague dedicated servers?
I am talking about being able to finish only 1 out of 4 games.
So if I put up a dedicated server and then suddenly I realize the cure to HIV, and I pull out Microsoft Word and start typing it down, is the world at risk that I will crash before I finish, and the cure will be lost?

Also, what kind of connection is needed? Someone asked this in another thread and no one answered.
How far away could people be and still get a good ping to a server running 100 mbits up and down?

Bandwidth has nothing to do with the ping due to distance, you will only get lag due to bandwidth if you can't send or receive the data fast enough because all your bandwidth is used, 100mbits should be fine. The ping due to distance is usually rather close to the speed at which the signal travels (aka the speed of light) minus the time it takes for the different nodes on the route to process your message, greater distance means more nodes, and more chances of having a node, or the connection between two nodes, acting up.

As far as I can tell the dedicated server is stable, it won't crash your system alone, but it's usually a bad idea to run a server 24/7 on a PC you use for other stuff. If you start downloading or uploading, or if you use your cpu, for example by playing a game or decompressing a large file, or I bet even if you use the disk a bit heavily, the people on your server can start having some lag. Also the more processes you have running at once the more chances something odd happens and creates a crash.

Wouldn't rather be some company hiring game servers in japan or korea? At least here in europe it's quite cheap if you want just a server.

    Thank you for the information.

We will see if CPU resources will be a problem.
But I expect any server in Japan to be better than the current offerings.

My only concern is that I will not be able to play while people are on my server. If I start Monday Night Combat for my own enjoyment, I will crash.
