In fact, I don't know when the last time I played this was I think it was shortly after the beta went live. My only excuse: I got into KSP with an unexpected detour into Eve. Blame Manley and his awesome youtube tutorials LOL Anyway, I've seen a few new build tweets in the last bit, and after reading that there's a hack-ish sandbox mode D) I decided to do a fresh modless install and check out how it's come along. I gotta say, it's come along quite a bit. Didn't delve into the system editor, but I gotta say, job well done to the devs. I guess first off is the menu, and game lobby sections. Defining AI slots before publishing: Awesome. Seemed to be a little hicup getting into the first game I tried, but just hit back and the ready button worked, so I dunno, and the problem didn't come back, so I dunno. It's not like I don't remember the load times of the Alpha either Some major improvements there Love that there's a tutorial vid too, even if a little outdated at this point (new game combined custom and uber btw ) As for being in the game, it ran really smooth @ 1080p. Forgot to set the gfx to uber, since it was a clean install, but it still looks awesome. Love the quad and raptor comms In fact, I think the quad is gonna be a fav! Sorry Delta Didn't smash any planets, but I'm gonna wait to get into the system editor for that . Love all the little additions like orbital layer overlays and orbital paths showing, especially for the transport. Also noticed that it was harder to get into system view than before, but not overly so. It really feels like there's one zoom level for planet->orbit, then you go into system if you want. Which is a good thing btw Definitely a supporter of that change! T1->T2 mexes is a nice touch too, even if it is considered an upgrade by some. All around smoother game, and quite the blast to play, even in a sandbox mode Can't wait to see what extra polish this thing gets in the next while My only real complaint is still that there's still no font-size/ui-scale option Also, the mouseover panels for factory/fabricator build order bar still feel like they need more info as to what the unit to be built will add/take from your econ. I only really say that since I hadn't played in so long I'd forgotten most of the values..... On a side note, I haven't updated my build time/econ spreadsheets in forever: Has anyone else taken that up? Quick Edit: Just looked up my posts here and its been almost 2 months to the day
