I sometimes have the commander preloaded to an astreus, or I load the commander into one and go do something else for a second.

Then someone attacks, and I quickly need to find the astreus carrying the commander to shoot him off to some random moon in order to delay my annihilation by 3 minutes.

First, I double press 'b' in an attempt to quickly find the commander. Doesnt work because its in an astreus.

So, I am forced to find it visually. I probably have a saved camera location near the commander so I can get there quick, but then I have to find the actual commander from a soup of buildings, units and whatnot. Its even harder because the commander icon is not as visible when its loaded in an astreus.

Make 'b' function at all times please. I would also like if it worked even when the commander is in interplanetary space (I would like to be able to select units flying from one planet to another).
    PeggleFrank and zweistein000 like this.

You could bind the Astreus to cntrl group 1 and call it that way. Or set a new cntrl-b group in settings, quickly set the Astreus to cntrl b so it will select the Astreus when the commander is in it. Not sure what would happen if the Astreus and commander are apart however. I guess commander.

There's also another b-issue (at least for me). 'B' is for building orbital units and selecting commander. If I select orbital fabber, 'B' does nothing - it does not select commander or lighten up orbital building category in menu. I wonder is 'B' somehow related to 'b'ulls...omething ;).

I think the key set up to find your commander should work at all times too... setting up control groups does not work in linux.
