While opening a game session the twirly icon froze. I then got a message from Avast that it could not determine if crashupload.exe was malware and should Avast continue scanning PA. When I cancelled Avast PA crashed and the connection was terminated.
That's not Avast crashing PA, that sounds more like PA just crashing, and Avast blocking PA's crash uploader from uploading a crash dump/report to Uber. You should probably make sure Avast is set to allow crashupload.exe, so that Uber gets reports from your crashes.
i'm running win7, 64bit and avast. no problems ever with it... also agree it sounds like PA crashing independent of AV.
