What about a tool for autobalancing team battles, should it be possible?

The Spring RTS project has this on a number of their servers so it's definitely possible.

This should be possible as a server mod with UberID comparisons.

And here is why the spring system falls apart because some "good" players only want to play on imba teams... these same players will then moan about how imbalanced and easy the games were :/ *sigh*

Imagine your in a lobby of random players in a big 5 v 5 game.

Currently the teams are just the teams- with no account for who's who.

This system would look at peoples data from Ubers server (e.g. total game time, ladder rating etc) and give all 10 players a score. It then automatically makes 2 teams with as close to as possible the same *total score*, thus (in theory) creating a 'balanced' game.

It works ok (ish) in spring (much better than no balancing usually), although people doing things like Smurfing kinda breaks it and I never understand why you'd want to? Surely you *want* a more balanced game?
