The radius where a unit will move ant attack and enemy unit is too high, not only is it too high but there is no way the get them to stop after they are moving to attack. Pressing stop during them moving does not work.
There isn't an agressive stance "hold fire" or "return fire"? By default, it is "fire at will" and they liberally apply that if anything gets within usually 20% the edge of their firing range. However, I can see how this can be used to bait units out for sniper attacks or something.
