Game stutters horribly in terms of units and structures acting. Selecting is totally fine as is camera movement. It's grade A, couldn't be better. Bottom line the game is unplayable. Please help me fix this, I used to be able to play this just fine on an older computer and have been looking forward to playing this again for months. Attached are my system diagnostics if those will help at all.
Your system is made by _ASUS_. ASUS tends to preinstall a program called "Game First III" that is utterly incompatible with PA. Deinstall that program, you don't need it. Also I'll now move these two posts into their own thread.
Sorry I don't had a solution, but I understand. I had an ASUS gaming laptop last December and it was miserable. Even before coms spawned there was lag in the planet system rotating. Got rid of the "Game First III" program but no help. Returned it and bought a HP very similar to this - http://smile.amazon.com/HP-ENVY-i7-6700HQ-Bluetooth-Non-Touch/dp/B0163KN5AC (but with Win 7) Not as good as my 4 yr old desktop but great for when I'm on the road.
For anyone in the UK I would highly recommend these guys for a gaming laptop: https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/ You can custom configure to your own specification- and works out very competitive. I got a new machine from them in Feb and it's superb (my *only* criticism is the speakers on it are a bit rubbish, especially coming from a Dell XPS machine which had superb sound including a sub, but hey I use headphones 99% of the time so all good). Another big plus is Pc Specialist give you the option to have the laptop shipped with *0 bloatware installed* With regard the ASUS laptop, there's no reason it shouldn't work- it's going to be a software related issue. My first thought is try removing any ASUS bundled software that isn't absolutely necessary. Secondly, go into the NV graphics settings and ensure the game is set to run on the Geforce card and not the integrated. Also looking at DXDIAG the gpu drivers are a bit out of date (note they should work but there are a few newer drivers available since those came out). Try getting the latest drivers from www.nvidia.com
