What I mean by that is can we say hit an planet that we see in anther solar system by sending a rock out there by grav slingshots and pure thrust. What do you guys think about it?

Not a fan of fighting between systems, sorry.

    There is no Inter-system Gameplay.

Won't 'inter-system gameplay' just be the meta part of the galactic war?

There won't be any fighting between maps.

You can still theoretically have multiple solar systems on a map.

Not gonna happen, one because physics forbids it (unless you have eight million years to wait) and because no travel between maps.

Should stress here that "Maps" equal "One Complete Solar System" in this context.

As far as I can tell the Galactic War is played on a Risk-style map with each system acting as a battleground ingame. But that doesn't preclude the use of asteroids as inter-system weapons. There could be an option to turn an asteroid into a battle station and send it to attack another system. You would start the battle in that system with a prebuild asteroid base which would fly into the system and orbit around a planet. For this to be somewhat balanced the defending player/AI would need to start with more than a lone commander.

In the fluff each side starts with a lone commander because it is inefficient to maintain a standing defence force. In effect an attacking commander teleports into the system, this is detected somehow and a defending commander teleports in at basically the same time. Asteroids would take a ridiculously long time to travel between systems and the defenders could presumably spot it's arrival from far enough away to prepare the system to defend. So this gives us a sort of attack/defend mode.

There's currently no hard limit on how many stars or orbits any single map can have. Convention may restrict games to a single solar system, but it's not something set in stone.

Yea, My post was just to clarify the terminology of "Maps" in this context not being the normal. I wasn't actually damning any "Map" that contains more than a Single Star.

I wonder if someone will make a mod to allow Multiple System play, id like that i know its not everyone's cup of tea but i think it would be cool!

    I support this!
Perhaps some sort of science softening device could be used to bend time and space so a big ol' rock with a base on it would take an hour to arrive at another nearby system, but it'd be usable as a mobile HQ for your commander and be a feasible troop carrier/resupply.
