Just a suggestion.. But why not add a Leaderboard for Assists? I have quite a few more assists than kills, and would think people would work harder as a team to take down the enemy than they do now if a Leaderboard was created for Assist kills as well. And MAYBE a Botkill Leaderboard perhaps? Maybe people would escort the bots a bit more instead of just running around looking for the easy frags. But there is the possibility of "bot farming" I suppose with the aid of a friend. So I don't really know if this one is going to be possible to do, and then there is the question of is it total bots or several Leaderboards (one for each bot type). But ultimately, I suggest an Assist Leaderboard as a possible addition to the game. The bot thing is just a minor suggestion.
On paper it's nice, but assists are very easy to come by since you just need to tickle an enemy a bit, and I believe the leader boards should represent the more direct accomplishments instead. Bot kills sounds nice though since that is what drives every match forward. Same would go for turret kills.
Thanks for the feedback. Although I see where you are coming from on the assists, it takes a bit more than a tickle to get one. Also, it seems that only 2 people can get credit for the kill. So simply just peppering a spray into some guys won't usually result in a kill, let alone an assist, I don't think it would be too much of a problem. An assist shows that teamwork was involved to make the kill, and that is the core reason I play this game, is to work together with others. I do tire of watching people play this game with focus only to get a kill, while ignoring the bots moving down towards their base. I just figure with the add of an assist, team players will get more recognition than rambo/commandos.
