Assault shoots duds.

    Occasionally, and usually on the first round of my grenade clip. if I hit a target squarely with the grenade it will do no damage to him. Often when this happens the explosion still damages nearby targets but the first target hit by it takes no damage, according to my UI.

    I would normally blame this on latency, however I've noticed that it'll often be that the target takes an extra shot than usual to destroy as a result. For example: I'll shoot at a group of 3 black jacks, hit the center black jack squarely, the two beside him die 1 shot before the one in the center does. this seems to happen more often against players, especially snipers and gunners in my experience but that may be a coincidence.

    This happens to me all the time as well, on console and PC.

    I have this happening with the mortar of the gunner sometimes. I haven't found a way to duplicate it yet though.

    I get this a lot with the grenade launcher too.

    I figured it was just a lag issue, and I was actually missing a moving target, but I've now even seen it happen against a deployed gunner.

    Same here.

    turrets and stationary bots: 100% hit registration rate (out of all grenades fired that are direct hits on or had their timer run out (thus exploding) near said target).

    Moving bots: very rarely, but it has happened.

    Players, both stationary and moving: it happens more often than not that grenades don't do damage on direct hits.


    I can effectively take out groups of bots, but this issue is the only thing that really denies me from being an effective player killer as well with the grenade launcher (currently the only use it has in pvp for me is the grapple it has, and spamming nades around corners).

    Yes, only seems to affect direct hits. If I go for splash damage by shooting nearby bots or using the timed fuse, I don't think I ever see problems.

    Short answer on this one is the client and server sometimes disagree if a projectile hit something or not. The faster a character is moving the more likely for them to disagree. Fodder are slow, players are fast.

    There may be something to the issue of hitting characters to both sides of one that appeared to take a direct hit, but for gunners and snipers you're usually ranging them which means it's likely the grenade is just exploding past them due to it's fuse timing out.

    Actually just saw this happen against a group of bots..

    First shot of the clip, right into the center of the group, exploded and did no damage to any of them

    My product grenades do no damage against moving targets now. I guess my internet is just that bad. :(

    Along with nades not doing damage, sometimes they don't even appear! Yesterday I was firing away at the moneyball while juiced and none of my grenades actually hit it because they didn't actually come out of the launcher.

    yer it does happen a lot, also the invisible shield has happen to me a couple of times, once while juiced an entire clip of the assault rifle hit the invisible lag shield and let a sniper live

    I thought it was me not shooting air properly.
